1. Helical Pier Installation

They used 2 ⅞” helical piers with repair brackets and guide sleeves, each capable of supporting 32Kps per pier. The team strategically raised and lowered the home as needed, achieving maximum practical recovery.
2. Void Excavation & Void Creation
To address the impact of expanding and contracting soils, Ram Jack Arizona transferred the load from the soil to the piers. This allowed for further excavation under the footing. They created over six inches of void beneath the entire foundation perimeter footing to accommodate soil expansion. “Sure Void,” a compressible cardboard material, was installed under the footing. This prevents surrounding soils from backfilling and absorbs soil expansion. By doing so, it minimizes soil pressure on the structure.
3. Poly Foam Injection for Stabilization
To complete the repair, Ram Jack Arizona treated up to 1,400 square feet of the concrete subfloor with Poly Foam injections. They injected a total of 700 pounds of Poly Foam through 3/8” holes drilled in the slab. As the foam reacted under the slab, it expanded to fill voids. Additional injections created enough pressure to raise the settled areas. The treatment successfully reached the target elevation and stabilized the slabs. Poly Foam was not used in the back area where heaving had occurred to avoid worsening the soil issues.
