Gathering Our Team from Across the Southwest
Straight Line Construction recently hosted our annual company retreat in Colorado Springs. This year’s summit ran July 31 through August 2 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. We welcomed over 80 guests from Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado. These connections help us align our approach to foundation settlement repair and deliver consistent results.
Exploring Our Pueblo Office and Home Base
The event began with a tour of our Pueblo office, the home base for Straight Line Construction. Our team explored Pueblo, connected in person, and strengthened relationships with colleagues from across the region. This teamwork translates into smoother communication and stronger performance on structural stabilization projects.
Learning from Industry Experts
Day two opened with a powerful motivational speech. We also heard from visiting experts in the foundation repair industry. They shared proven techniques for tackling issues like sinking foundations, heaving concrete, and commercial foundation repair. Their insight gave our crews fresh perspectives on using helical piers, driven piles, and other advanced repair methods.
Showcasing Our Work at Pikes Peak
That afternoon, we boarded the Cog Railway to the summit of Pikes Peak. At 14,115 feet, we admired the visitor center we helped build. Our Colorado team installed the piles that support this landmark. Seeing the completed structure reminded us why durable foundation systems are vital for both residential and commercial projects.
Collaborating and Innovating Together
On day three, we learned from project managers across all locations, as well as our CEO and CFO. They spoke about company culture, leadership, and operational excellence. We wrapped up the day with a Shark Tank-style competition. Teams pitched creative products to our executive “sharks,” encouraging teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving—skills that also drive successful foundation repair projects.
A Strong Foundation for Future Success
The summit was more than a retreat—it was an investment in our future. We left with stronger communication, innovative ideas, and a renewed commitment to providing high-quality foundation settlement repair. Events like this help us deliver lasting structural stabilization for homeowners and businesses across the Southwest.
