The Role of Floor Level Surveys in Foundation Repair

If Straight Line Construction determines that foundation repair is necessary, they will highly recommend a floor level survey. This survey is an essential tool for accurately measuring the levelness of floors in a structure. Using specialized equipment, the team can detect unevenness or slopes that may indicate deeper foundation issues. The precise data collected from these surveys helps diagnose problems like settling, shifting, or other structural concerns.

Floor level surveys are particularly valuable for spotting subtle changes that aren’t visible but could lead to significant damage over time. They provide critical insights into the condition of a building’s foundation, helping to ensure long-term structural stability. To learn more of the importance of floor level surveys, read here.

Benefits of a Floor Level Survey: Accurate Diagnosis and Peace of Mind

  • Floor Level Surveys provide a comprehensive view of your foundation’s condition, helping to identify specific areas that may need repair.
  • They use precise measurements to detect subtle changes that may indicate foundation issues, even if they are not visible to the naked eye.
  • By identifying problems early, these surveys can help homeowners avoid more extensive damage and potentially save on costly repairs in the future.
  • The surveys ensure homeowners understand their home’s structural health, providing peace of mind and allowing us to determine the most effective repair solutions.

Comprehensive Floor Level Survey Reports: Your Path to Informed Decisions

Straight Line Construction provides a comprehensive floor level survey report to give homeowners a clear understanding of their property’s condition. Each detailed report includes a custom floor plan, elevation points, 3D topographic mapping, and tailored repair recommendations. This commitment to transparency ensures clear communication throughout the foundation repair process, making homeowners feel confident in their decisions.

With the insights from a floor level survey, homeowners will have all the information needed to choose the best solution for their home’s foundation, ensuring long-term stability and peace of mind.

About Ram Jack

Ram Jack is a family-owned business that began operations in 1968, in Ada, OK, where we currently source our piers and brackets. Back then, concrete piering was the original repair method used simply because it was the only technology available at the time. Over time, it became evident that concrete piers did not provide long-term stabilization of foundations and only provided a short-term warranty period. To guarantee the highest grade of customer satisfaction, a greater solution needed to be found.

The Ram Jack owners embarked on a research program to develop a foundation repair system to stand the test of time. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office first issued a patent to Ram Jack for its foundation repair system in 1985. Over the next few years, additional refinements and patents have followed, resulting in the strongest patented system in the industry. Ram Jack driven pilings are ICC-ES recognized (International Construction Code—Evaluation Services). Ram Jack is one of only two ICC-ES recognized foundation repair companies in the industry. Ram Jack’s products meet or exceed code requirements set down by ICC-ES for both commercial and residential properties.
