Protect Your Home with Ram Jack Colorado – Denver’s Foundation Experts

Why Foundation Repair in Denver is Critical

Due to Denver’s expansive clay soil, foundation problems are common. Soil shifts with changing moisture levels, leading to settling, cracking, and heaving, which can cause significant structural damage if left untreated.

Understanding Foundation Issues in Denver

  • Soil Expansion/Contraction: Denver’s soil expands when wet and contracts when dry, destabilizing foundations.
  • Water Intrusion: Snowmelt or heavy rain can lead to water damage, causing cracks or weakening the structure.
  • Foundation Heaving: Excessive moisture causes soil to push up, creating uneven floors and cracks.

Effective Foundation Repair Solutions

Ram Jack Colorado offers tailored repair methods to address various foundation problems in Denver:

  • Helical and Driven Piers: These systems stabilize homes suffering from settling or sinking, preventing further foundation movement.
  • Polyurethane Foam Injection: For uneven concrete floors or settling concrete flatwork, high-density foam is injected beneath the surface to attempt to lift and level it.
  • Carbon Fiber Reinforcement: This solution is ideal for repairing horizontal foundation cracks and reinforcing walls.
  • Waterproofing Systems: Comprehensive drainage systems and sump pumps protect homes from Denver’s fluctuating moisture levels along with wall waterproofing solutions to combat moisture penetration.

Costs and Repair Timelines

While the severity of the damage dictates cost, here’s an estimate of costs in Denver:

  • Minor Crack Repairs: $500–$1,500
  • Piering Systems: $1,500–$3,000 per pier
  • Polyurethane Foam Injection: $1,000–$5,000
  • Waterproofing Solutions: $2,000–$10,000

Most repairs are completed in 1 to 7 days, depending on the scope.

Prevent Future Foundation Damage in Denver

Maintain Proper Drainage: Water accumulation near your foundation increases the risk of soil expansion. Ensure gutters and downspouts direct water away from your home. Keep this is mind to prepare for rainy seasons in Denver.

Regular Inspections: Catch foundation issues early by scheduling routine inspections, especially after extreme weather conditions.

Don’t Wait: Foundation problems don’t get better with time. To prevent repair costs from increasing, make sure you address any concerns in a timely manner. Read more on The Cost of Ignoring Foundation Problems.

About Ram Jack

Ram Jack is a family-owned business that began operations in 1968, in Ada, OK, where we currently source our piers and brackets. Back then, concrete piering was the original repair method used simply because it was the only technology available at the time. Over time, it became evident that concrete piers did not provide long-term stabilization of foundations and only provided a short-term warranty period. To guarantee the highest grade of customer satisfaction, a greater solution needed to be found.

The Ram Jack owners embarked on a research program to develop a foundation repair system to stand the test of time. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office first issued a patent to Ram Jack for its foundation repair system in 1985. Over the next few years, additional refinements and patents have followed, resulting in the strongest patented system in the industry. Ram Jack driven pilings are ICC-ES recognized (International Construction Code—Evaluation Services). Ram Jack is one of only two ICC-ES recognized foundation repair companies in the industry. Ram Jack’s products meet or exceed code requirements set down by ICC-ES for both commercial and residential properties.
