What Is Mudjacking and Why It’s the Best Choice for Pueblo Driveways

Restore Your Driveway Without Replacing It

Cracked or sunken driveways are common in Pueblo and Pueblo West. Shifting soils, weather changes, and heavy vehicles cause concrete to settle unevenly over time. Many homeowners assume replacement is their only option, but mudjacking offers a cost-effective, long-lasting solution. At Straight Line Construction, we’ve been perfecting this method for over 40 years, making us the trusted choice for driveway repair in Southern Colorado.

How Mudjacking Works

Mudjacking is a proven concrete leveling technique that lifts and stabilizes sunken slabs. Our team drills small holes in the affected concrete and pumps in a dense, cement-based slurry. This mixture fills voids under the slab, raising it back to its original position. The process is quick, minimally invasive, and designed to extend the life of your driveway. Mudjacking is ideal for:

  • Driveways with uneven or sunken sections

  • Walkways and sidewalks with tripping hazards

  • Garage floors that have settled or cracked

  • Patios or outdoor slabs that slope toward your home

Why Pueblo Homeowners Trust Mudjacking

Pueblo’s clay soils expand and contract, causing concrete to settle over time. Mudjacking addresses these soil issues while preserving your existing driveway. Unlike full replacement, which is costly and disruptive, mudjacking is affordable and environmentally friendly. Straight Line Construction has provided concrete leveling solutions since 1982, earning a reputation for precision and reliability. We understand the unique soil conditions in Pueblo West, and we design every repair to withstand them.

About Ram Jack

Ram Jack is a family-owned business that began operations in 1968, in Ada, OK, where we currently source our piers and brackets. Back then, concrete piering was the original repair method used simply because it was the only technology available at the time. Over time, it became evident that concrete piers did not provide long-term stabilization of foundations and only provided a short-term warranty period. To guarantee the highest grade of customer satisfaction, a greater solution needed to be found.

The Ram Jack owners embarked on a research program to develop a foundation repair system to stand the test of time. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office first issued a patent to Ram Jack for its foundation repair system in 1985. Over the next few years, additional refinements and patents have followed, resulting in the strongest patented system in the industry. Ram Jack driven pilings are ICC-ES recognized (International Construction Code—Evaluation Services). Ram Jack is one of only two ICC-ES recognized foundation repair companies in the industry. Ram Jack’s products meet or exceed code requirements set down by ICC-ES for both commercial and residential properties.
