Sandia Casino and Resort planned a significant expansion of its golf club and event facilities. The project required deep excavations, new structural loads, and precise support around existing foundations. Scope of Work
Additionally, the expansion included multiple additions to the existing facility. Ram Jack New Mexico installed systems to support:
- A two-story addition with stairs and an elevator on the west end of the bar area
- New construction along the north and east sides of the banquet hall
- A single-story addition on the north side of the event center
- New footings extending deeper than the original foundation, requiring reliable load transfer
Engineering Evaluation and Pier Installation
Ram Jack New Mexico installed 29 Ram Jack 2⅞-inch steel helical piers with underpinning brackets secured to existing walls. Each pier received a thermoplastic coating for corrosion resistance and long-term performance. This is an essential component of high-quality commercial foundation solutions.

Excavation Challenges and Structural Reinforcement
The expansion required excavations that extended well below the existing foundation. Two areas reached 8.5 to 9 feet, and another exceeded 6 feet for the new elevator pit. Ram Jack New Mexico applied welded wire and four inches of reinforced shotcrete to stabilize each cut.
