Tieback
Basement tieback systems are a type of foundation repair solution used to stabilize the walls of a basement that have been damaged by soil pressure. The system involves the installation of helical anchors into the ground either through the foundation wall or outside the basement walls. A steel plate or steel channel is placed over the helical and then tensioned in an effort to counter the soil pressure and prevent further movement of the basement walls.
Tieback systems are typically used in cases where the walls have bowed or shifted, causing cracking, leaning, or other structural damage. They are a reliable and effective solution for stabilizing basement walls and can often be installed with minimal disruption to the basement or its surroundings. In some cases, basement tieback systems can also be used to straighten or repair damaged walls.
